About the Project
During this program we have learned about locating and utilizing information regarding specific topics, from various texts which are available in the library and various websites from the internet. Some of the challenges which we faced during this research include:
3G Mobile Communication Networks:- Being new to the field of mobile communications, we didn't have any idea about 3G Technologies. Initially, it was difficult for us to begin the project due to lack of any information. Even during the research many topics were encountered which were new to us. Hurdles like these were overcome by contacting competent instructors. The instructors we contacted include:
- Mr. Ahsan Chaudary (ashsanch@niit.edu.pk) - NUST Institute of Information Technology
- Dr. Ismail Shah (ismail@gmail.com) - Iqra University
- In order to understand the working of CDMA2000 we contacted QUALCOMM. QUALCOMM provides solution for CDMA2000 technologies. We obtained useful resources like:
- Video lectures for CDMA courses
- Slides for CDMA courses
- Unfortunately, NIIT Library was lacking any text or reference materials on this particular topic. This was a major hurdle with regards to this topic. We overcame this challenge through extensive use of the internet as a source of information for the SCSI interface.
